This or That Book Tag

It’s the This or That Book Tag, the first book tag of 2020! Woo!

I happened upon this book tag while I was blog hopping and came across Medically-Bookish‘s blog. Don’t forget to take a gander at her blog! Her niche is Medicine, lifestyle and books!

This or That Book Tag

This or That Book Tag

1: Reading on the couch or on the bed?

Reading on the couch!

If I read on my bed, I usually get TOO comfortable and end up falling asleep.

2: Male main character or female main character?

Female main character. I love some Male POV but the majority of the books I read are Female POV.

3: Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

Salty!

I’m old. My taste buds cannot handle sweet things anymore which sucks because I used to enjoy gummy worms like nobodies business.

4: Trilogies or quartets?

Quartets, GIMME MORE!

The longer the series, the more likely I am to read it. Since the majority of the books I read are fantasy, it usually goes past the 4 and I’m the type of reader that needs MORE.

5: First-person point of view or third-person point of view?

This one is a tough one. I like both POV types but if I have to choose it’d be….

First Person.

I enjoy seeing the story through the characters eyes; experience what they are experiencing. I feel like the surprises, the little twist and turns of the story hold more weight when it’s first person.

6: Reading at night or in the morning?

Totally a reading at night person here.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll read all day, everyday regardless of what position the sun is in. However, reading at night after a long stressful day of adulting is my absolute favorite.

7: Libraries or bookstores?

Bookstores.

Confession: I haven’t been in a library in years!

It’s not that I don’t enjoy them, it’s just that the ones around my area do not carry the books I like as they are extremely under-funded and they aren’t well taken care of. It’s a shame really because I remember libraries being a place where I could go and find a whole other world in.

8: Books that make you laugh or cry?

Books that make me cry.

Play with my emotions! Make me feel the feels! Make me cry! Wrench my heart out from my chest and step on it!

I totally dont have a problem.

9: Black book covers or white book covers?

All I have are black covers….Recently I’ve purchased books with red covers!

White covers are gorgeous but I would be afraid of them getting dirty.

10: Character-driven or plot-driven stories?

I enjoy plot driven stories just a tiny intsy winsy more than character driven.

There you have it! You can now judge me to the fullest 😂I tag:

Sam | Meeghan | Sara | YOU

XOXOXO,

Jeimy

  1. I prefer bookstores too. My library is nice, but they usually don’t have what I want. Also, I don’t like returning books. I want to own them forever.
