The Sims Book Tag

The process of moving is stressful, tiring, and I wish I didn’t have to do it….

I’ve been stretched so thin these last couple of weeks: preparing for the move, work, and all these events I have to attend that I feel myself creeping into burn-out territory.

So much so that I had a hard time coming up with this weeks Book posts. But thankfully, the amazing angel Meeghan Reads heard my laments and came to save the day (in-turn my sanity)!

A little fun fact about me: I LOVE THE SIMS.

I’ve been a hardcore simmer since the original Sim way back when. I’ve had every single game + expansion packs. My favorite rendition of The Sims will always be 3 but Sims 4 isnt so bad. (STOP WITH THE STUFF PACKS PLEASE)

I have to hand it to Jen Deluca with Well Met!

A light and sweet romance novel that touches on the nerdy side. I loved it and look forward to her future novels.

THE GRIM REAPER – SADDEST CHARACTER DEATH

*stares off into the night sky with tearful eyes*

I’ve gone through so many losses but the most devastating one for me has to be….Sirius Black’s death.

It happened too quick and to have that moment of happiness stripped away so easily……ugh….I always cry when I re-read Order of Phoenix.

SIMS GETTING STUCK – A CHARACTER THAT JUST GOT IN THE WAY

Theron Haskar from Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch.

Don’t get me wrong; He’s cute, likes to read, and is vunerable. BUT HOLY MOLY DOES HE GET IN THE WAY OF MAIRE’S……*ahem*. Let’s just say, much could’ve been avoided if not for him.

SIM ROMANCE – THE WORST CASE OF INSTA-LOVE

I try to not judge insta-love as in IRL, I know people who wear their heart of their sleeves and fall in “love” almost instantly. But the worst one I have read to date is (Excluding Twilight and Vampire Diaries…and Vampire Kisses):

I read Fantasy, boo….it’s all unrealistic.

NEEDS FULFILMENT – A CHARACTER WHO MADE ALL THE WRONG DECISIONS

Tamlin the Tool

Art by the amazing Patchesdraws! I have bought prints from them before and they were more than what I hoped for. Great quality and they are so nice!

I had lots of hope for Tamlin. LOTS. He did not learn from his mistakes. He did not realize how wrong he was/the hurt he caused and his over-inflated ego did not let him see past his own selfish desires.

I love that I hate him because he represents all the dumb boys I’ve ever come across. Boys that never mature no matter how old they are. Boys that feel like everything is their possession, that feel like they deserve the world on a platter because they put in small effort.

ERROR CODE 12 – A SERIES THAT STARTED OFF GREAT BUT WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE

The Maddox Brothers by Jamie Mcguire….

I enjoyed the first book but the second…and third….

I don’t know. Maybe one day I’ll give it another shot but we did not click.

THE SIMS VORTEX – A BOOK/SERIES THAT COMPLETELY ENGROSSED YOU

The entire ACOTAR series and the entire Throne of Glass series.

I was transported, toyed with, inspired, and smitten by the characters and worlds.
