Hello Lovely Bookworms! I hope you all are having a beautiful weekend and that your holiday was spent safely!
The Anti-TBR book tag was something I found over on Kristin @ Kristin Kraves blog whilst blog hopping. It’s such an interesting concept, I just had to do it too!
The Anti-TBR tag was originally created by Nicoleandherbooks
The Anti-TBR Tag
A popular book everyone loves but you have no interest in reading?

Unfortunately, the original series left me…..unimpressed. I haven’t found a book from Leigh that I truly enjoyed, like enjoyed enough to read the rest of her series. I gave both Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone a try. They were both eh….So I have no interest in reading The King of Scars at the moment.
A classic book/author you don’t have an interest in reading?

F. Scott Fitzgerald. We had to read the Great Gatsby in highschool and I was not into it. Like at all.
An author whose books you have no interest in reading?

Like Kristin, Colleen Hoover is one author I have no interest in. Her books are some that have merited praise from many of my favorite authors but I could never get past the premise on the back.
A problematic author whose books you have no interest in reading?
I don’t think any of the author’s I enjoy reading have been problematic (thank goodness). When I find one, I will update this <3
An author you have read a couple books from and decided their books are not for you?
TIJAN. I’ve read about 5 of TIJAN’s plethora of books and will not read any more. I tried to find the one that I would like but I have given up. The main characters all feel like the same girl and the plot doesnt really change from one book to another. I gave her books the good ol try but it wasnt meant to be.
A genre you have no interest in OR genre you tried and couldn’t get into?
Oh gosh. I dont even know what to call this genre but I recently did a buddy read with the wonderful Fictionally Sam and we are scarred for life. Our innocent eyeballs will never be able to look at Cephalopods ever again.
Space Fantasy Erotica? Idk. But NEVER AGAIN.
A book you bought but will never read OR a library book you borrowed but returned unread?

I read Shiver and loved it. Couldn’t get into The Raven Boys and bought Call Down the Hawk, hoping that I would give her another try…..but it’s been sitting on my shelf for months and at this point, I know in my soul I wont read it.
A series you have no interest in reading OR a series you started but have dnf’d?

I started this series about 14 summers ago and I started it out of order. I borrowed Masquerade first and loved it. Then 4 years later, bought the rest of the series, started book 1 and never finished it.
A new release you have no interest in reading?
I’ve been in my own reading bubble lately that I don’t know what books have been released. I will update this one once I go through all of them.
I TAG YOU!!

The End of Summer Book Tag 2020 edition
I agree with you about King of Scars. I know many people love Nikolai but I never even got to his character since I stopped reading Grisha after the first book and I couldn’t even make myself finish Six of Crows. There’s quite a few popular books I’m not interested in reading like The Hate You Give and the new ACOTAR book.
