Hello Bookworms! It’s crazy how we are already midway through 2020! Thank goodness it’s almost over It’s been a rough couple of weeks but we just have to keep pushing forward. Practicing breathing, practicing self-care, following guidelines for preventing Corona Virus, and fighting racial injustices.
Who could’ve ever guessed we would live through such a time?

BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2020

So far The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh is the best book I’ve read this year. It was so well written and it’s a great comeback for YA Vampire series.
BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2020
I haven’t read any sequels yet. 2020 has been stand alones and first book in a series so far.
NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET BUT WANT TO
*clears throat*
RUTHLESS GODS by Emily A Duncan. I finally got my grubby hands on it and it’s up next to read.
MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR

The Traitor Queen by Danielle L Jensen. It’s my most anticipated book this year.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT

Neanderthal seeks Human by Penny Reid.
I am usually on board with Penny Reid and her novels but I couldn’t help but be disappointed with this one. Maybe I didn’t give it enough of a chance? But I could not get into the story at all….I had to DNF.
BIGGEST SURPRISE

Wicked Saints by Emily A Duncan.
The book had elements I usually don’t read about but holy moly batman….this book was good. I quickly became enamoured with the characters.
The style and the themes were new and exciting….*sighs dreamily*

FAVOURITE NEW AUTHOR

S.A Chakraborty, hands down. I’ve had The City of Brass on my shelf for a year. A YEAR. What was I thinking??????
NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH
Question that is completely unfair since I’ve crushed on 99.9% of the characters that I’ve read about this year.
However, spot number one:

Dara from The City of Brass!
NEWEST FAVOURITE CHARACTER
Hopefully, if I say his name three times he’ll appear 😀
Malachiasz. Malachiasz. Malachiasz.

BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
In all honesty, I have not read a book that has made me cry this year.
BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas made me incredibly happy. It had a great message and was pretty well written. It’s slower than her other books but it kept me on my toes.
FAVOURITE BOOK TO FILM ADAPTATION
Harry Potter is the only Book to Film adaptation that I enjoyed. I’m very critical of the films and think that directors do more harm than good when they begin to change things to appeal to non-readers.
FAVOURITE POST YOU HAVE DONE THIS YEAR
My resource post: A Tutorial on HTML for Book Bloggers
I have gotten feedback from many book bloggers letting me know that it was super helpful and that made me so happy 🙂
MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU’VE BOUGHT THIS YEAR

Rage and Ruin by Jennifer L Armentrout and Storm and Fury by Jennifer L Armentrout.
WHAT BOOK DO YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF THE YEAR
