Happy Sunday Bookworms and Planner Babes!
July was an amazing month! I hosted BookendingSummer19 for a few days, went on vacation for two weeks, and participated in Camp Nanowrimo. Such a flurry of productivity, I honestly feel like July is what I needed for a few months now.
I can say without a doubt that July was good to this little book blog of mine and with helping me learn how to be more productive efficiently. (My BUJO was my lifeline).
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to read as many books as I had planned since I was putting more focus into everything else. However, August is a brand-new month filled with great possibilities!
July Recap
Little ol’ me went ahead and subscribed to her first ever book box subscription, BaeCrate.
What is BaeCrate?
BaeCrate is a monthly subscription box that comes with one or two new adult/ adult romance books that reflect whatever theme they are holding for the month. Along with the books, the box includes some cute bookish trinkets and/or artwork. Baecrate is the sister company of FaeCrate.
What is FaeCrate?
The same concept but for YA fantasy and scifi!
I am beyond excited and cannot wait to share the unboxing with you guys!
Along with signing up for a monthly book box:
Your girl over here got her first ever ARC!
Needless to say, I was absolutely over the moon and incredibly thankful. Review coming soon!
Camp Nanowrimo:
I am proud of myself. Although I didn’t finish the whole novel, I can say with happy tears in my eyes that I, Jeimy Evelyn, have written 50% of it!
I gave myself a goal of 20,000 words to begin with but knew I was going to end up making the novel 30,000 words.
The journey was hard and honestly, there were so many times where I wanted to quit. Doubt was looming over me as I typed away every chance I got. Working through writer’s block was like swimming through molasses.
Yet, the more I wrote the easier it became to write. The ideas came with ease and it no longer felt like I was stuck dreaming of my novel. Managing this blog has a huge part in my success because with the writing of posts, I slowly began to unravel the knot called writer’s block. Camp Nanowrimo was just the final blow!
I have such a long way to go even if I’m at 50% of the novel. There are so many changes that I know I want to do but I’m going to push on ahead and finish it. Everything else can come later.
