Down the TBR Hole: Chapter 9

You know, I just realized that I haven’t been keeping track of how many books I’ve removed from my TBR….or how many I’ve been adding…

Happy Saturday Lovely Bookworms!

I hope that the November Chills have been kind to you and that your reading has been delightful and in abundance!

This little lady over here has been incredibly neglectful of her tbr and as she stares at the digital mountain of books in absolute horror, she knows that nothing will stop her from adding more.

Absolutely no discipline, am I right?

Down The Tbr Hole

The book tag was originally created by Lia, formerly @ Lost in a Story.

For those of you who haven’t taken a look or participated, here’s the breakdown:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

This is a process that we (I) will be doing every so often meaning that we (I) have to keep track of where we (I) ended and where we (I) will move forward from. From what I’ve seen many book bloggers have chosen their own intervals but many have done it in intervals of 5. For example Week 1 we (I) will do book/s 1-5 on the TBR list. Then Week 2 will be 6-10 and so on.

This will continue until the whole TBR list is filtered through, leaving only the books you (I) actually plan to read.

  1. Firespell (The Dark Elite #1) by Chloe Neill

Elite boarding schools? Magic? Vampires, demons and evil wizards?

Baby steps….First lets find some books in where romance takes a back seat and then we can read the no romance books.

2. Unleashed (Wolf Spring Chronicles) by Nancy Holder

Like Vampires, it’s been a looonnnngggg time since I read a werewolf romance novel….Ancient Secrets? Mysterious town? Grudges that last centuries?

Maybe….just maybe….

3. Deception (Haunting Emma) by Lee Nichols

I don’t think I’d be into the story like I would’ve been when I was younger.

4. Days of Blood and Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #2) by Laini Taylor

I read Daughter of Smoke and Bone years ago and enjoyed it! The ending of the first book had me feeling betrayed. IM LOOKING AT YOU AKIVA

I’ll keep this one as I might re-read the first book and finally finish the series.

5. Dreams of Gods and Monsters (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #3) by Laini Taylor

If I’m keeping book 2 then book 3 is also a keeper!

I’ve heard so many mixed feelings about how it ended and I’m curious to see why.

Overall Verdict: 2/5 books will be kept1/5 possible rainy day2/5 books will be removed

What books have you read on this list? Did you enjoy them?

  1. I have read Daughter of Smoke and Bone a little while ago, as well, and I’m curious about the rest of the series, but somehow.. well, I feel like it will take me another thousand years to get to it hahaha. I hope you’ll enjoy it 😀

    1. I can understand that! That’s what’s been happening with me, I read the first book a while a go and just haven’t read the rest. I want to but…..there’s just too much distracting me (other books). Thank you for reading Marie <3
