Down the TBR Hole: Chapter 8

September is here!

My favorite time of the year is just a few weeks away. Soon, I’ll be stepping on crunchy leaves of copper and tumeric, snug in a knitted cardigan and a cup of hot cinnamon spiced coffee in my hands.

*Blissful sigh*

Today we are going down the TBR hole again! What better way to start a new month than to de-clutter? (Aka make space for new and better things!)

Down The Tbr Hole

The book tag was originally created by Lia, formerly @ Lost in a Story.

For those of you who haven’t taken a look or participated, here’s the breakdown:

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

This is a process that we (I) will be doing every so often meaning that we (I) have to keep track of where we (I) ended and where we (I) will move forward from. From what I’ve seen many book bloggers have chosen their own intervals but many have done it in intervals of 5. For example Week 1 we (I) will do book/s 1-5 on the TBR list. Then Week 2 will be 6-10 and so on.

This will continue until the whole TBR list is filtered through, leaving only the books you (I) actually plan to read.

  1. Nemesis (Nemesis #1) by Anna Banks

Another Enemies to Lovers? It almost had me but reading the blurb didn’t really entice me to want to read it. I’m going to have to say No on this one.

2. Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White

I;m really torn on this one. Part of me wants to leave it on my tbr, the other part is telling me I probably won’t go back to read it….I think I’m going to place this one on the maybe pile

3. King Hall (Forever Evermore #1) by Scarlett Dawn

I didn’t even know I had this in my TBR pile.

A few years ago, I tried giving this a read…I really tried to like it but I couldn’t get into it.

4. Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices #3) by Cassandra Clare

I read City of Ash in the summer before I went into 7th grade. I can’t remember if I enjoyed it or not.

Reading the blurb of this one, it looks like it ties in to the other series. I’ll probably have to read those first and I’m not sure I want to.

5. Destined (Destined #1) by Jessie Harrell

I love love love greek mythology. I haven’t read many greek retellings but when I read the blurb on this one, there isn’t really anything other than the fact that its a retelling of Cupid + Psyche…..

Overall Verdict: 0/5 books will be kept1/5 possible rainy day4/5 books will be removed

  1. Wow it’s kind of rare to see people remove so many in down the TBR hole posts, congrats on cleaning up that TBR. 😀
